As any parent knows, date nights are easier said than done. Getting time, money, and sitters lined up sometimes seems impossible. So a while back we declared that Monday nights are date nights. We put the kids to bed a little early, turn on a little music, and I sit in the kitchen/on the patio and watch my husband cook up a dinner that is [seriously] simply better than anything you could buy at a restaurant. Everything is quiet and we get the chance to enjoy each other's company without worrying about how much money we'll spend, where we should go, or what time we need to be back to relieve the babysitter. It is positively divine. We weren't so great about keeping up the tradition over the summer with insane schedules, but we started back up again this week and it was fun and much needed.$12 Date Night
HEB Bacon Wrapped Filets ($6 for two)
Grilled Asparagus ($3)
